Ukrainian intelligence thwarted a Russian assassination attempt on President Zelensky.

🔘 Alert: Ukrainian officials revealed that the plot involved kidnapping and targeting other high-ranking officials as well.

🔘 Espionage: The SBU State Security Service of Ukraine intercepted two “moles” within their ranks, believed to be working for Russia since before the invasion.

🔘 Gift: The assassination was supposed to be a “gift” for Putin’s inauguration on Tuesday.

Putin’s fifth term

Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin began a new six-year term.

🔘 Leadership: In his inauguration speech, Putin emphasized Russia’s commitment to its national interests and values, despite Western boycotts of the ceremony.

🔘 Diplomacy: Putin also gave an ultimatum to the West.

"The choice is theirs: do they intend to continue trying to restrain the development of Russia, continue the policy of aggression, incessant pressure on our country for years, or look for a path to cooperation and peace?”

🔘 Future: As Putin steps into his new term, the world watches to see how he will navigate nuclear tensions, the war in Ukraine, and relations with the US, especially with the upcoming US presidential election.

Prime Minister warns China

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called a recent air incident involving Chinese military and Australian defense personnel over the Yellow Sea “unacceptable,” highlighting tensions in international airspace.

🔘 Incident: A Chinese J-10 jet dropped flares near an Australian MH60R Seahawk helicopter during a UN sanctions enforcement operation against North Korea. The confrontation occurred in international waters and airspace.

🔘 Response: Albanese has demanded an explanation from China, emphasizing the risk posed to Australian forces. Despite the incident, Chinese Premier Li Qiang is expected to visit Australia next month.

Ceasefire call ignites Israel

Thousands of Israelis are rallying to urge Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire deal with Hamas. The public outcry reflects a nation divided and desperate for peace.

🔘 Peace: Amidst the seven-month war devastation, Israelis are taking to the streets, demanding a ceasefire. Protests are erupting from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, with banners proclaiming, "The blood is on your hands."

🔘 Diplomacy: Unexpectedly, Hamas has agreed to an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal, leaving Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, scrambling. Despite Israel’s hesitance, citing unmet “core demands,” the military continues strikes on Rafah.
