The airport, which opened in 2019, has a starfish-shaped terminal that covers 700,000 square meters. Sure, it looks cool, but it seems that the design did not account for the possibility of a deluge.

Belarus Invades Poland’s Airspace

🚁 On Tuesday, Poland accused Belarus of sending two helicopters into its airspace, violating its sovereignty and security. Belarus denied the allegation and said it was a pretext for Poland to increase its military presence near the border.
Why it matters: As you may already know, Poland is a NATO member state. Any unwarranted incursion into its space could be considered an invasion of the whole of NATO’s territory. I don’t need to tell you the possible repercussions of NATO following through with their response if Belarus did indeed purposefully invade Poland’s airspace.

Russia Hits Back at Ukraine’s Grain Sites

🚀 It looks like Russia is trying to starve the world by destroying Ukraine’s grain exports. The Kremlin has launched a series of drone attacks on Ukrainian ports and silos, aiming to cut off the country from the global food market.
On Tuesday night, Ukraine's ports and industrial infrastructure experienced the latest round of attacks. Russia deployed 23 Iranian-Shahed drones, targeting various locations, including the capital Kyiv. Most of these drones were intercepted but some managed to hit critical facilities in the Odesa region, such as a grain silo in Izmail.
Why it matters: Ukraine is one of the major “breadbaskets” of the world, producing about 30 million tonnes of wheat per year. Russia’s aggression threatens to worsen the global food crisis and increase hunger and poverty.
