"Enough is Enough"
Hi Global Recap readers,
Wow, what a weekend it’s been.
My phone kept buzzing with updates about Israel’s latest military action. It felt like Israel just reached a point where they said, “Enough is enough,” and didn’t hold back on taking action against the Iranian-backed terrorist groups around them.
This also gave birth to a few viral memes, but let’s start with the details surrounding the death of the head honcho of Hezbollah. 👇

Details and Memes of Nasrallah’s Death Emerge
Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.

7:57 AM • Sep 28, 2024
On Friday, we reported that we were awaiting confirmation of the death of Hassan Nasrallah, the former leader of the terrorist group Hezbollah. Over the weekend, the IDF confirmed his death with a straightforward post on X.
This effectively marked the complete dismantling of Hezbollah’s military chain of command.
Skepticism
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu left for the UN meeting in New York last Thursday despite facing significant domestic criticism for leaving the country during a crucial operation against Hezbollah.
Some speculated that his trip aimed to appease the US government and gain President Biden’s trust and support in the conflict. After all, Israel is engaged in a seven-front war against Iranian proxy groups in:
Gaza,
Lebanon,
Yemen,
Iraq,
Syria,
the West Bank,
and of course, Iran itself.
Bibi’s Plan
However, according to a senior Israeli official, Netanyahu’s trip was designed to “trick” Nasrallah into feeling secure, making it easier to track his movements and eliminate him.
Netanyahu reportedly approved the strike that killed Nasrallah just before delivering his speech at the UN. This was him giving the order:

Then, while he was delivering his speech about tolerating enough physical attacks from terrorists and accusations from countries watching from the sidelines, the IDF conducted airstrikes that eliminated Hezbollah’s leadership.
✍️ Note: Watch as delegates from Muslim nations, including Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, leave the venue in protest. This is, of course, all for show.
For instance, Saudi Arabia, a Sunni Muslim nation, is quite different from the Shia Muslims of Iran and its terrorist proxies. However, as an Arab nation, it felt the need to stage this protest.
How do I know Saudi Arabia doesn’t care? The nation’s Crown Prince reportedly said so himself. According to Mohammed bin Salman, he doesn’t “care about the Palestinian issue.” And the prince is carefully navigating the issue, so as to not stir things up too much both domestically and internationally.
One must ask, as Netanyahu did in his speech: If another nation rained missiles down on your city, forcing your citizens to abandon their homes for months, would you tolerate your government not taking military action?
How long would you tolerate it—one day, a week, a month? Israel tolerated this for a year in Northern Israel.
Details of Nasrallah’s Death
Now, many are questioning how Nasrallah died. Was his death quick, as he was blown up instantly, or did he suffer a slow death?
The 64-year-old’s body was found intact, suggesting he wasn’t physically injured by the blast.
According to reports, toxic fumes from the explosions filled the underground bunker where he was hiding, causing him to suffocate.

Meme Reaction
This event sparked another viral meme, this time featuring Marwa Osman, a propagandist “reporter” who celebrated Hamas’s October 7 invasion.
She burst into tears and left the TV interview with RT, a Russian propaganda news network, upon hearing that Nasrallah’s death had been confirmed.
She was smiling just before hearing the breaking news.
She is now reportedly on a blocking spree on X, shunning those laughing at her. Here’s one example.
Shortly before Nasrallah’s demise, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Khamenei, posted the following, and got brutally community noted:
After the humiliation suffered by Hezbollah, Khamenei has been taken to a “secure location,” and people are brutally laughing at him on X.
New Leader?
So what did Hezbollah do next? Appoint the successor of course.
Meet Hashem Safieddine. He was appointed as the successor by Hezbollah’s “Shura council.”

He was born in 1964 in Deir Qanoun Al Nahr, southern Lebanon.
He supposedly prepared for succession since 1994, as he is the cousin of Nasrallah.
Heads Hezbollah’s Executive Council, effectively serving as the organization’s CEO.
However, with the entire leadership structure in such disarray, it’s uncertain how long Safieddine will remain in power as the leader of the terrorist group.

Israel Strikes Houthi Targets

Houthis evidently didn’t take attacks against Hezbollah too well.
On Saturday, they launched a ballistic missile towards Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, but it was intercepted. However, this isn’t anything new; they’ve been firing missiles at Israel for the past year, supposedly in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
So, how did Israel respond?
Israeli Strikes
Israel bombed Houthi targets in Yemen on Sunday.
The attack targeted oil reserves, power plants, and a seaport in Hodeidah.
Dozens of Israeli aircraft, including F-15I fighter planes, participated.
Casualties and Damage
The strikes resulted in casualties and significant damage.
Four terrorists were killed, and 29 were wounded.
The attack caused fires at oil storage tanks and power plants.
The Houthis’ ability to receive Iranian weapons was severely impacted.
Power outages occurred in most parts of Hodeidah.
Result
This was the result of the attacks against their fuel depot, hence the large fire.
It is clear that Israel is trying to deter further actions from surrounding terrorist organizations by demonstrating unprecedented force against precise targets.
Note that these attacks are characteristically different from those by Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas, as they are precision-targeted rather than aimed at large areas, like the recent attempts by the Houthis.

IDF’s Limited Ground Operation in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a limited ground operation against Hezbollah to finally eradicate the terrorist organization and allow Israeli civilians to return to their homes in Northern Israel.
The operation started on Monday evening.
Border Communities Affected
Northern Israeli border communities were impacted by the operation.
The IDF imposed a closed military zone on Metula, Misgav Am, and Kfar Giladi.
Israeli tanks and APCs gathered by the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Currently, about 40% of residents in northern Israeli towns are unwilling to return to their homes.
Biden’s Disapproval
President Biden expressed disapproval of the IDF’s ground operations.
Biden called for a ceasefire before the incursion started.
He stated, “We should have a ceasefire now.”
However, many are criticizing Biden’s decisions as “weak,” claiming they only embolden terrorists to carry out further acts of terror.
For example, the US Navy was recently attacked by the Houthi rebels. This isn’t the first incident of its kind either.
Yet, while US service members are constantly targeted by terrorist groups, the US appears to be absorbing these attacks without a significant show of force that could deter future aggression.
Understandably, this could be an effort to prevent further escalation. But if the US is not seeking to escalate the situation, why is it deploying so many troops to an active war zone? Just to take fire?

🇦🇹 AUSTRIA
“Far-Right” Victory in Austria

Herbert Kickl, the leader of the Freedom Party.
Austria’s political landscape has shifted dramatically with the Freedom Party’s recent victory.
This also reflects a gradual shift away from the political left worldwide, as issues like illegal immigration, wars, and inflationary fiscal policies take center stage.
Here’s what you need to know:
Election Results
The Freedom Party, which is often labelled as “far-right” by mainstream media, secured a historic win in Austria’s national election.
They finished first with 29.2% of the vote.
The Austrian People’s Party came second with 26.5%.
The Social Democrats were third with 21%.
Key Issues
The Freedom Party capitalized on several pressing issues.
High inflation and the war in Ukraine.
Concerns over immigration and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their election program, “Fortress Austria,” calls for strict border controls and suspending the right to asylum.
Coalition Challenges
However, forming a government won’t be straightforward for the Freedom Party.
They need a coalition partner to command a parliamentary majority.
Rivals have expressed reluctance to work with Herbert Kickl, the party leader.
Historical Context
This victory marks a significant turnaround for the Freedom Party.
They previously dropped to 16.2% in 2019 after a scandal involving then-party leader Strache, who was seen in a secretly recorded video accepting favors from a purported Russian investor.
Their recent success follows a narrow win in the European Parliament election.
