🚨 Hijacked by Hamas. The Kamal Adwan hospital director, Ahmed Kahlot, has confessed during an interrogation by Shin Bet (The Israel Security Agency) that the hospital was commandeered by Hamas for military operations, including housing a kidnapped soldier.
💣 Dark Secret. Kahlot, who has been with Hamas since 2010, revealed that the hospital staff, including doctors and nurses, were actually operatives of Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades and Islamic Jihad’s Quds Brigades. But of course, this was already suspected as much.
🔥 Director Flames Hamas. Kahlot didn’t have many nice things to say about Hamas though.
“The leaders of Hamas are cowards. They left us in the field while they’re hiding in secret places. The people are the ones who pay the price. (…) They destroyed us.”
🔍 Why It Matters. This revelation confirms long-standing claims by Israel that Hamas exploits hospitals for military purposes, which is a grave violation of international laws protecting medical facilities during conflict.
💡 Human Shields. The hospital’s transformation into a military hub illustrates the terror group’s strategy of using civilian structures to shield its operations, believing they won’t be targeted due to their humanitarian nature.
🤔 Reflecting. After two and a half months of war, Kahlot’s criticism of Hamas leaders as cowards who abandon their posts while hiding in safe places highlights the internal disillusionment within the ranks of Hamas.
