VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED

This is an UNCENSORED video of the incident. Please DO NOT click it if you cannot watch horrific violence. Here is a censored version.

A German police officer was wounded and in critical condition, after he was stabbed by an Afghan national on Friday.

As of Sunday, he is dead.

🔘 Tragedy: In case you don’t remember our previous reporting on this, here’s a summary.

  • A video capturing the fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old police officer, identified as Rouven L., by an Afghan national went viral, fueling public outcry and political maneuvering.

  • The attacker, who arrived in Germany in 2014, went on a stabbing spree during an anti-Islam rally in Mannheim. The incident was captured on a YouTube livestream.

  • The police officer reportedly tackled the victim mistakenly, before getting stabbed multiple times.

  • Controversially, the footage also shows that there were a handful of police officers merely spectating the terror attack unfolding in front of them without taking any action.

Biased Reporting

Let’s take a look at how some mainstream media news articles.

The most egregious is the BBC.

In this article, they label the victim as a “far-right activist,” while calling the terrorist “the alleged attacker.” It refuses to even mention the most likely motive behind the attack - religion.

Is it not clear from the video that the assailant is a religious extremist?

Additionally, in this article, written moments after the stabbing, the Islamic extremist is merely referred to as “a man,” while the victim is repeatedly called a “far-right anti-Islam activist.”

Understanding that the writer frequently uses negatively connotated terms when referring to the victim, such as “far-right,” and the media’s reluctance to label the attacker as an extremist or terrorist, reveals the pronounced bias of outlets like the BBC.

Don’t get me wrong, the terms by themselves are apt.

However, the BBC is not the only mainstream media outlet that does this. Practically no news platforms label the attacker for what he is - an extremist or terrorist.

This shouldn’t be controversial.

Reactions

Here are the varying reactions on X.

Some are criticizing the German government, while others are praising the stabber’s actions.

It seems like most people agree illegal immigration should not be tolerated.

However, recently, many online are calling for the mass deportation of certain people. Some are even praising Hitler for foreseeing this happening…

What do you think?

Should immigrants be expected to adapt to the culture of their new country?

🇨🇳 China
Espionage Hired by MI6

China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS) has accused Britain’s MI6 of espionage.

🔘 Accusations: The MSS alleges that MI6 recruited a Chinese government-employed couple, exploiting the husband’s study opportunity in the UK to initiate espionage activities.

  • The husband, identified only by his surname Wang, was allegedly approached during his studies in Britain.

  • MI6 is said to have capitalized on Wang’s “strong desire for money,” offering him lucrative consulting work that transitioned into espionage. This type of scenario seems to be a common theme with these allegations.

🔘 Operations: The MSS claims that after espionage training, Wang was instructed to return to China to gather intelligence, with his wife also being co-opted into the operations.

  • The wife, surnamed Zhou, worked at a “core” government agency, increasing the espionage value.

  • Both Wang and Zhou allegedly succumbed to the monetary lure and security promises made by MI6.

🔘 Publicity: This case emerges amidst a series of public declarations by the MSS, which has recently raised its profile under Xi Jinping’s leadership.

  • The MSS has been vocal about dismantling foreign spying operations, though these claims remain unverifiable.

  • The agency’s newfound “transparency” includes a WeChat account, engaging the public in its anti-espionage narrative.

While it wouldn’t surprise me if British Intelligence were involved in this, it’s also likely that China could be fabricating this as part of their propaganda. The terms “China” and “transparency” typically don’t belong in the same sentence.

🇮🇳 India
Modi’s Market Triumph

With the expectation of a historic election victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian stock market is responding with a surge.

🔘 Election Impact: The Sensex and Nifty 50 indexes each jumped over 3%, a clear reflection of the bullish sentiment among investors, buoyed by exit polls predicting a landslide win for Modi’s party.

🔘 Growth Trajectory: Under Modi’s leadership, India has witnessed impressive economic growth, with an 8% expansion in the last fiscal year.

  • This performance not only solidifies India’s position as the fastest-growing major economy but also sets expectations for sustained growth at an annual rate of 6%.

  • The growth also coincides with many Western businesses de-risking away from China.

🔘 Reform Expectations: The market surge isn’t just about the numbers; it’s also about the anticipation of key land and labor reforms.

  • These reforms are seen as critical for India’s next phase of growth, with the potential to catapult the nation into the world’s third-largest economy by 2027.

  • Notably, shares in Adani Group companies have seen significant gains, with Adani Enterprises up almost 7%, and Adani Power nearly 16%.

  • Gautam Adani, the group’s founder, has reclaimed his title as Asia’s richest man, despite facing allegations of fraud, which he has strongly denied.

Can we expect India to be the next “world’s factory?”

🇲🇽 Mexico
Historic Victory Sealed

Mexico City’s former mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, has made history by becoming Mexico’s first female president.

🔘 Leadership: Sheinbaum’s victory in the general elections reflects her disciplined campaign and her alignment with the outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s popular policies.

  • She is seen as less combative and more data-driven than Obrador.

  • She has a Ph.D. in energy engineering.

  • Her scientific background influenced her COVID-19 response, differing from national policies.

    • While the national government minimized the significance of testing for the coronavirus during the pandemic, her city increased its testing efforts.

    • Despite President López Obrador’s preference to refrain from actions that could impact the economy, Mayor Sheinbaum implemented restrictions on business operations and public capacity during the peak spread of the virus.

    • She is a left-leaning politician.

🔘 Challenges: She faces the task of addressing Mexico’s high levels of violence and has proposed expanding the National Guard without resorting to authoritarian measures.

  • She emphasizes a strategy focused on addressing the root causes of crime and ensuring zero impunity.

🔘 Vision: Sheinbaum’s leftist stance is defined by her commitment to a strong welfare state and addressing poverty through government intervention.

  • She promises a “strong welfare state.”

  • She supports Mexico’s state-owned oil company, Pemex, while advocating for clean energy.

🇰🇷 South Korea
Poop Dumping Backfires

“Gifts of Sincerity”

🔘 Retaliation: South Korea’s National Security Council has decided to suspend the 2018 inter-Korean agreement, which was intended to ease frontline tensions.

  • This suspension is a direct response to North Korea’s balloon campaign, which included dropping waste and animal feces on South Korean territory.

  • The campaign was conducted between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

  • The North called these balloons “Gifts of sincerity.”

🔘 Provocation: However, The North abruptly halted the balloon launches after South Korea threatened “unbearable” retaliatory steps on Sunday.

🔘 Consequences: The suspension of the peace deal allows South Korea to take “effective, immediate responses” to North Korean provocations.

  • This includes potentially restarting anti-Pyongyang propaganda broadcasts and K-pop songs from border loudspeakers, which have been a point of contention in the past.

  • The broadcasts are particularly sensitive in North Korea, where access to foreign news is heavily restricted.

  • The 2018 agreement’s future is uncertain, as both Koreas have previously taken steps in breach of the accord.
