Moscow Under Drone Attack Again? What We Know

Hello again, Global Recap readers!

A 153,000-year-old footprint was found in South Africa’s Garden Route National Park. It is possibly the oldest ever made by our species, Homo sapiens. This discovery surpasses the previously oldest tracks in Nahoon and Langebaan by 25,000 years.

The footprints are ‘natural casts’ from the layer of sand that filled them in. Its age is absolutely wild. 🤯

🇷🇺 Moscow Under Drone Attack Again?

What Happened: Putin has accused Ukraine of launching drone attacks targeting civilians in Moscow on Tuesday. Russia's air defenses claim that it successfully shot down 5 and intercepted 3 drones with signal-jamming technology. No significant injuries have been reported.

As a precautionary measure, Moscow's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, has initiated the evacuation of certain residents.

Social Media: Social media platforms were quickly filled with reactions as images showing smoke in the sky and a shattered window circulated online. The source of the drones remains a mystery at this time, with Kyiv denying responsibility.

Steve Rosenberg, the BBC's Russia editor, recounted hearing two explosions in the north-west region of Moscow, a report that was echoed by numerous individuals in the vicinity who took to social media to share their own experiences of the blasts.

Deja vu: This is of course not the first time we see drones in Moscow’s sky. Just a few weeks ago, the Kremlin was targeted by a series of drone attacks. Ukraine has consistently denied any involvement in these incidents, and some have even labeled them as false flag operations.

Now, the question arises:

“Is this latest attack yet another alleged false flag operation, or could it be attributed to Russian rebel groups operating within their own borders?”
