• In fact, just days before this attack, another knife incident in the same city claimed the life of a police officer.

• The suspected motive? Islamist extremism.

BRICS Expansion Buzz

Turkey’s latest diplomatic dance isn’t with its NATO allies but with BRICS, an alliance comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

Is Ankara shifting its axis?

🔘 Welcome: Putin is reportedly all smiles over whispers about Turkey’s wish to join BRICS.

• On Monday, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan jetted off to Beijing, stirring the pot of international relations with a high-level chinwag since 2012.
